We made an early start and left at 7.10am when it was still dark - French schoolchildren were just getting off their buses!
We went across country via Les Andelys and Gaillon to Evreux and Dreux, thus avoiding Rouen at morning rush hour.

We then skirted Chartres and did a short stretch on the A10 peage to avoid going through ...

Black clouds were everywhere and you could no longer see on the other side of the bridge. The heavens opened and ...

Today we drove to Puy De Dome. It was quite an early start as we wanted to fit a lot into the day. Firstly, we drove to Volvic and visited the Volvic production place. We got to learn all about how they get the water and then got to try all different types of Volvic drinks. Then, we got Nutella crepes, yum! ...

A lovely dip in the pool in the evening sunshine - still hot enough for me at 7pm to stay in for a while and a great game of volley ball beach ball!
