    ... 10.5733327865601px;">The 23-room Auberge Saint-Pierre Hotel where we stayed is right in the heart of the island, protected by the ramparts, on a small street that leads right to the abbey. This 15th-century wood-framed house is a registered historical monument. The streets were extremely steep and windy, so got good workout on our "stone stair master".
