... be cooler. It is in the seventies now. The hotel is European Standard Class. Think motel but more Rustico. I had a great lunch at the local micro brewery and have enough left for dinner. Saw the Roman ruins, walked through the tourist area and stopped at the supermarket for some breakfast bars and instant coffee. Tomorrow is Liberation Day (Italian 4th of July). I don't expect much to be open for breakfast. Since I start walking tomorrow, I'm planning an early ...

Worst 1st days snowboarding - ever!

Had a very exciting start to my day, pancakes for breakfast! Hannah had me up looking out the window from the crack of dawn, as it was snowing (I did try to explain that it was essential in a ski resort and that my time would be better spent in bed...)
The girls got off to ski school. I took my time getting ready and then wandered off into town to find the lifts. And here I came a cropper. I could see chairlifts, but none of them seemed to be moving. I walked ...
