... walking to the end of the street and barely saw Asahikawa
Central Station because they were doing renovations of some sort for
a farmer-market-type festival. We had to get on the road since we
wanted to reach the Youth Hostel in Daisetsuzan before it got dark,
so we started heading back to the car. On our way back, we decided to

Lavender fields...
After a pleasant two hour train journey from Sapporo we arrived in Furano. There we checked into a nice Youth Hostel and went for a walk to enjoy the countryside. Where it's all about skiing in winter, during spring and summer the big draw card is expansive fields with perfectly aligned rows of lavender and various flowers. And even though we're not too much into flowers, this was really quite beautiful. Impressive was also the amount of tourists here. We haven't seen many ...
Shower me with flowers
... always pleasing. Rain kept bothering us along the way. We had to look for cover at the Fuda farm. My dad's sneaker lost its sole and I lent him my sandal.
Besides looking at the flowers, what could we do? The hills at Furano and Mei look okay, countryside, natural view, refreshing if you work and dwell in big cities.
