... the shopping in Cortina is just fabulous and not a "chain" store to be found. Really worth the drive to this super chic resort.
The one downside is that it is crowded. We are in high season and German school Holiday is going on now. Add to that the fact that the Dolomites have not had this much snow since 1951. Minor complaint and it sounds like things will clear out next week.

The shows in Brixen however did not reflect the niceness of our accommodation. I have never met ruder children!! Oh well - I guess they're teenagers!

We have crossed the border! And now we are staying in Italy for 1 week before heading back to Austria.
The part of Italy we have arrive in is an area which caters for both Austria and Italian. It is often referred to as South Tyrol. Very strange talking to the locals as we weren't sure which language to try and speak in! I think a mix of all 3 would suffice!
