... is Business. And yes - their second class was good. It was quite crowded - not tourists though, business people. We reached 200km per hour!
Then changed to a Regional train - a real regional train this time. We wended our way past various sees (lakes) until we got to Hallstatt See. There is nothing at the stop, except for a sign to the ferry - and it was raining.
Just to put an end to the myth - the ferry from the Hallstatt train stop ...
... also adds to the cool and refreshing feeling. I've found it really relaxing to rest here for a couple days and take in the scenery and feel of this country. We will be heading to Italy tomorrow, starting with Venice, which I absolutely cannot wait for!
A few things that I have noticed are different about Europe and have been quite consistent across the different countries we've been to so far-

... winding footpath. No time to stop and view the cloud obscured view, but made it with 4 mins to spare. They have seats on the way, I guess you are supposed to enjoy the walk up. The ice cave has spectacular ice formations, up to 9 meters high ice towers. It was amazing, we went first deep into the lowest part then climbed, up a zillion stairs to the different levels of the ice cave. The cave had a frozen river which at one point we not only walked across but climbed ...
