... reached the top and didn’t really have any view but my lasting memory will definitely be feeling the static in my hair as it raised up and the buzzing noises in my ear! There was a nice summit sign on top of the mountain but I could hear it literally buzzing from the storm and lightning was imminent! It was pretty weird and a little scary but I managed to get down and lie on the floor before any lightning hit and then a bolt came down about 100m away! Zap! With no view and ...

... just a pastry), and homemade gravy. It was delicious and is was great fun. You could see the energy and excitement the Brits got from having such a reminder of home. All of them have been traveling for months. We spend the rest of the night into early morning playing games in the hostel.

In preperation for my first Salsa meeting, I went out and purchased some bright new dancing shoes (Yellow Dunlop Volleys) and chatted with some locals about where was good to go out on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday night. Before I knew it I had people throwing their numbers at me, inviting me to go out dancing with them. The first real sign of just how friendly the people are here in colombia... And ...
