... firework show was along the beach on Saturday, lasting a half hour long and simulating the Naval battle during the French colonial invasion of 1864. The parade on Sunday was colourful, loud, elaborate, and everything we expected it to be. After spending 11 days in Mazatlan, we are eager to explore more of the Pacific coast!

... San Blass, Mexico and they set us up with an affordable
house rental there. A tropical storm was moving through the area of Mazatlan
and we were soaked. Not fun! So we decided to head south and rent the house for
a day or 2 to get a break from the heat and rain.
After, the house rental we are going to Sayulita(near Puerta

... and nine o'clock in the morning (I don't think they get the concept). At the guard gate, we greet the guard with the usual: “hola, buenos diaz.” It is very important to say that correctly or they will correct you – especially in the afternoon when the greeting becomes, “buenos tardes.” But, today we are okay and soon we arrive at the palapa resturant. ... there. it was scary when the policia came to talk to us we though maybe they were gonna rob us going my stereotypes but they said just park over there in the light and we will guard you all night long....at least thats what we thought they said cuz it was in spanish.
i, raina, slept on top of the van because i hate sleeping in chairs it ******* sucks and my butt hurts from driving 2,000 ...
... was convinced there would be trouble with some of the passengers not having the right paperwork or something and we'd be stuck there for ages. As it was, we were the ones that held things up! We had seemingly every border guard there having a look at our ESTA froms (the visa waiver forms you have to fill out before you go to the States) because they so seldom have people from the UK crossing into the States from the Mexican border, and they weren't used to seeing them! ...
