Back into Civilisation!
Ok, that´s a bit unfair. Bolivia is very civilised, but we rocked up to the bus station in Salta to find 15 people waiting: "come stay at our hostel! We have towels, hot water and WiFi!" We strolled round the shopping area and then the Museum of the History of Salta, sited in a colonial building on the square. We were impressed by the quality and variety of the exhibits and the interesting way they were presented.
We finished the day in New Time Cafe on one corner of the central sqare - a LP recommendation. What we had wasn't anything special but our first floor window table was good for people-watching.
