... made our way to a reef that is located 200 ft from shore - the snorkeling here was way better then the first spot! However, at this point we had enjoyed a little too much rum punch and snorkeling became a little difficult. I somehow managed to choke on water, lose my flipper, and kick my foot into coral all at once. I was done! I swam back to the boat and my helpful crew got out the spray to hit my wound ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico bookitorskipit... the looses sense of the word - service on this island is very slow, it's island life so go with the flow!

After breakfast we made our way to the pool where we spent the entire day relaxing! Joanna, one of the pool attendants, was so sweet and she made our visit to the pool very enjoyable. She walked around - right at the heat of the day with cold wash clothes to hand ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico bookitorskipitBreaking News!!! John and Rich break the casino's bank!! See below for details! Day 5 at sea, and we are doing very well. The weather is cooler but sunny. We are now sailing along the coast of west Africa and will arrive in the Canary Islands tomorrow. We will do a jeep 4x4 safari there. While it will be nice to be on land after 5 days at see, we have thoroughly enjoyed the days at sea. Lots of sun, exercise, sleep and food. We completed our third round of acupuncture this ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico johnandrich... flight home went quite well. It was again with Continental Airlines via Newark/New York airport.

We finally arrived at the Ottawa International Airport late in the afternoon under a grey sky, cold temperature, snow banks and no sun welcoming us home but at least we were HAPPY TO BE BACK HOME! We had our memories.

Thankful for happiness.

Mo

San Juan, Puerto Rico momentsintimeCruise Day 1 Getting there I left for the Airport at 5:45am from the Hotel, and I was so excited I could barely stand it. The rest of the morning was very uneventful...which I think is great. We made it to Atlanta where we had a 3 hour layover and got lunch. Our flight was very over sold and there were 3 seats in Business class...so my Dad (who is the most awesomest Dad) got us all upgrades! So what did I do with this great upgrade...I slept almost ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico travelin_kat... Aly and Jon played ping-pong while Mom and Dad worked out in the gym. *Note: If you have a cell-phone, it MIGHT work in Puerto Rico. We had a pay-as-you-go phone (Net-10) and it worked. Just be sure to bring a charger.* We later got off the ship and explored San Juan. We did some shopping and headed up to Castillo de San Cristobal. We really loved climbing around on the fort and took many family pictures. The day ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico travelprincess1... it, but it was beautiful. Next to it was a little park and we first noticed it because there seemed to be so many pigeons in it and we wanted to go see what was going on. Well, we got there and we saw a twenty-something couple standing in the middle of all these pigeons, feeding them. A woman had a little snack shack where she also sold bird seed so you could feed these pigeons. And I kid you not, there were at least five hundred birds around there. I was ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico hayesbk... delicious. Michael orders lobster ravioli; Kristin has the duck; and I had the pan-seared tuna. We share two quarts of sorbet (mango and raspberry). After all of that food, we're way too tired to go out dancing - at least the elder Globetrotters are. Something tells me Kristin is just catching her second wind. I hate to disappoint her, but I can barely keep my eyes open. We go upstairs and crash early, while Kris stays up to do some homework. Good for her.

The excavation in 2005 of three structures from Sector I and one from Sector II produced late Early Horizon and Nasca 1 material. The non-ceramic material included shell and faunal remains of camelid, rodent and fish. Lithic artifacts included obsidian projectile points, grinding stones of river cobbles, and flakes of andesite, quartzite, and ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico linzstoker... of the actual Puerto Rican stuff is Bacardi or cheesy souvenirs. I did get a pair of glass blown earrings though and a yard of fabric for the blanket(apparently the bible study is having everyone get a yard of fabric in every country then cutting it up and making it into a blanket at the end) We also got a few other odds and ends. Then we headed out to try and find the authentic music festival at some fort. We thought we were there but when I asked a local he ...
