... that we entered Guatemala and lucky for us there was no fee involved (which was a surprise to our new friend, so I think that perhaps the people in the office took pity on us).

The 'Santiago Hostel' was decent enough for one night as well...definitely not the Crown Plaza though :)

Now we are about to finally get on the bus that will take us to Costa Rica, fingers crossed there's nothing that goes wrong this time! :)
