... prosperous country which even has its own royal family who live in a castle overlooking the capital of Vaduz. It didn't seem unlike Switzerland to us, perhaps the buildings seemed a little bit more modern but otherwise pretty similar. We spent just one night in Liechtenstein and the next day rode our bikes from one end to the other and back again. We liked the idea of riding from one end of a country to another. A real novelty and like ...

... The police were waiting on the border of Liechtenstein, the guide said they were "looking for cars bringing in lots of money".

The bus dropped us off in a square. I promptly got my souvenir passport stamp (cool!) and looked for a few other souvenirs to bring home. The front seat position racing along single track had Lisa gasping, laughing, screaming ...

... bands, pantomime and even a couple of Aussies with didgeridoos.

A quick trip to Migros (think Coles) for supplies had me looking at a banana case - not as silly as it looks for cyclist who transport a banana in the back of their cycle top - just a tad conspicuous!

Lisa had arranged a 6:00pm booking at Restaurant Drei Bunde having extensively researched all the restaurants and cafes she wished to visit. What a disaster - ...

... of rumble dryer! Along the way there's lots of odd scenes. The Boomerang Bar in Walenstadt, the panel shop with old relics as planter boxes or the three-wheeler with its equally small caravan. At breakfast we met an English couple, Mike and Cathy. They were on the one week, three lakes, five countries ride and their ride today coincided with ours. Cathy explained they were late to cycling but love cycle holidays, this being their third. We arrived at Weesen in time for the ...
