    ... golden arches. That's right - like a true product of seeing marketing all my life, I saw the McDonald's M and knew immediately that I wanted some french fries. We did it. Josh McGirk - you called this one. I can't honestly remember the last time that I ate McDonalds in the states, but the smell and salty deliciousness of those french fries was exactly what I needed.

    Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

    I started my trip off with a train ride to Rome at 7 am. From there i took a guided tour of the ancient Roman Forum. I was with forty other students and one italian guy, my favorite thing to do. I go about twenty minutes into the two hour tour when I had to leave and take the metro to the central station, so i could catch my train to Milan.The metro was so crowded and dirty. I really enjoyed looking at the advertisements and window displays of each store as we passed. We did go into one store and I bought two dresses that are very nice.
