... Be sure to visit the cable car museum to learn more about this famous mountain before heading the the starting gate and walking down the famous downhill course section by section. This two mile long descent will challenge your ankles and have you redefining the word steep.

These are just a few of the highlights that await you when you go hiking in the Austrian Tirol.

    Albania to Austria

Spent a week organising a new vacuum pump to replace the temporary fix. Finally chased one down, although it probably would have been quicker to get it from OZ in the long run.
Anyway it needed replacing which meant we had a chance to unwind at ‘Lake Shkodra Resort’ near Shkoder, some 40klm from the Med coast.

We headed back as the rain had started to fall and fell asleep to a crazy lightning storm falling over the lake. Zell am See in May is an amazingly beautiful quiet town that is a must visit for some serious relaxing. Now we head off on a long train journey to Hungary and its capital ...

The photos speak for themselves about today. We could not believe when we woke up what a glorious morning we had. Breakfast at the guest house was simple buy delicious, bread rolls, cold meat, cheese, good coffee. There were a number of Japanese and Chinese staying at the gust house, I think we were the only European. Going to the lake we caught the bus, as we had the Berchtesgaden card it was free. This meant walking to the train station which was only 550 ...

Gasthaus Alpina: A gloomy, rainy, cold day, our first since leaving Amsterdam. Just as well as it was going to a funny day of traveling. There are a number of factors: 1. I suggested Berchestgaden because of ' Eagles Nest' and it is supposed to be a picturesque spot. 2. I knew we could get there from Innsbruck via Salzburg and by going back into Germany to Freilssang (just not the way we ended up going). 3. We ...
