We are very close to the German-Austrian border here, and returned to the area where we rode the luge yesterday, complete with flag-waving and national anthems going and returning! We drove to Schwangau, the childhood summer home of Bavarian King Ludwig II and the site also of the romantic castle that he built and was not able to finish due to his early death under mysterious circumstances. ... was very long and up a hill. We could have taken a bus, but the trail was through a forest and the hike was very scenic and enjoyable. Our tour was great except that the number of people in our group was too large, people talked during the guide's presentation and people brought children that were too young to appreciate the castle. After the tour, we walked to Mary's bridge which is uphill ...

... and His girlfriend came to pick us up around lunch time and we went to go up the alps. We took a very fast cable car up the mountain. In the winter this is a big place to ski/snowboard and the Olympics were here at one time. During the summer you can see people walking and biking up/down the mountain. We stopped midway up and had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the whole city. It was beautiful, but starting to ...
