We had a great day sailing on Anne and Axel's boat. Neither of us had ever sailed before. From Lake Konstanz you can see Switzerland, Germany and Austria at once. Pretty amazing. Anne and Axel also showed us around the old part of Konstanz which has buildings from the 1300s. Ruins have been found from as early as 400 A.D. So crazy. The town avoided bombs ...

... think fairly tolerant with pricing but this place is outrageously expensive. Maybe we are just doing badly against the Swiss Franc -- but it is enough for to encourage one to become a tea totaller but only then if you had brought your own teabags, which we had. And so you do feel rather like the captive tourist contributing significantly to the wealth of this 24x24 kilometre beautiful principality or at least to the lifestyle of the Prince who resides in the castle that towers above.

... and headed back to walk around town. The climb to the castle was pretty intense, after a beer, we both were ready to head out. Getting late and we still had to stop and pick up dinner. :-)

Headed off to Heathrow airport in the morning and will be headed home on Sunday.
