After yesterday's 70 kms we decided to take it a bit slower so we packed our swimming stuff and headed off on our bikes to Eglisau for a relaxing swim in the Rhine.

At Eglisau they have an area set aside for swimming which caters for people who don't want to pay for facilities. However all the facilities are there. They ...

Today is the day that we travel to meet Sue & Roy. They are coming over to join us for two weeks in their camper van.
The journey was only 47km but it was very pretty all through the mountains. We arrived at about 12.30 pm. and managed to arrange 2 camping places together so that when they arrived they wouldn't be over the other end of the site to us. While we were waiting I did the washing and Wayne set up camp ...

... ruin just outside of Singen at Hohentwiel. I manage to navigate our way there without too much trouble. With daylight saving time in effect, tourist attractions remain open for longer hours and although it's after 17:00, there's no problem to get tickets to tour the top of the tower. We make our second steep ascent for the day as we have a 20 min walk before we reach the castle gates, and a further climb to the buildings ...
