I walked down the stairs in my sari at 6:46 already one minute late from when we were supposed to meet Mukul for him to take us to sunrise. While we were certainly sad to leave Varanasi it was a very welcome treat to arrive in Khajuraho, considered to be the cleanest city in India. This really isn't a fair comparison however because Khajuraho is a town of less than 20,000 people it is much easier to keep clean than its larger competitors.
