I walked down the stairs in my sari at 6:46 already one minute late from when we were supposed to meet Mukul for him to take us to sunrise. While we were certainly sad to leave Varanasi it was a very welcome treat to arrive in Khajuraho, considered to be the cleanest city in India. This really isn't a fair comparison however because Khajuraho is a town of less than 20,000 people it is much easier to keep clean than its larger competitors. Never the less as we drove through the main town square it was obvious that this city took real pride in its appearance and we really enjoyed the way the center of town ...
