    ... the event. They again do this afterschool, I sat in on the rehearsal and boy were they impressive. Students we organised and collaborated seamlessly. In the hour I sat in on some Tap Dancing rehearsals students brainstormed and rehearsed the entire time. There were no teachers supervising or pushing them to work.     ... in Korea. The market was a phenomenal assault on the senses!! So much to look at, amazing aromas and lots of noise and bustle. We wandered around soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the spectacle! The food stalls looking amazing and there were little street cafés scattered within the market itself. At one stage a stall holder (dressed as a woman?!) tried to entice us to buy some of his goods by telling us that he was dressed in 'Gangnam style!!' A surreal end to a surreal ...

    ... which can't fit on the stove at the same time), one spatula, a cheese grater, and then two each of plates, bowls, cups, spoons, chopsticks and knives. This has lead to some very creative ways of preparing meals. We have had delicious stir fry, pasta, tacos and french toast, but I was definitely missing things I could only make with an oven.....or so I thought.

    As the tiny, two-row wide plane makes a hard landing into the Detroit airport I am overwhelmed with a deep sense of sadness. It's really over: I'm back home, back to the life I put on pause.
