... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.

After nearly 24hrs in transit, we arrived in Milano. Everyone was happy to finally arrive in Italy, but then came immigration. I swear we had to wait 30-40mins to get through immigration, one upside of waiting so long, the bags were ready to be picked up. ... We hit traffic outside the Gotthard Tunnel. Crawled 15km in 1 hour. Slow... And hot. All part of the traffic control to enter the 17km tunnel - our longest so far; by far.
