... It doesn’t stop. Fortunately, we spotted a local taxi service so we can get to the station nice and dry. I’ll just call them. “Ciao.” “Er, can you take us to the train station?” “Si.” “At 9:45?” “Si.” Well, that’s all sorted.

Now we’re standing on the platform at Varenna Station, which is more ...

We woke about 7.30am and got ourselves ready. It was great to have a piece of vegemite toast for breakfast! After we were all ready, about 10.30am, we set off for the town of Flim where we decided to get a chairlift up the mountain and walk one of the trails back. This was also the birthplace of Albert Einstein, although he left as an infant. Missed seeing "his" fountain. Drove to Friedrichshaven, ...

A wet, cool and muddy day for a race, but it didn't keep over 4000 crazy Europeans for showing up for a variety of races ranging from 10k (Vera) to 78k(Darrin). The views were beautiful, cows clanging their bells as they, also undaunted by the rain, watched all the crazy runners go past their homes. A few ...

After a rough start to the day, both of us wide awake at 3am with no coffee available till 4, we wandered down to the old town of Zurich. There are 3 old churches along the Limmat River- Fraumunster, Grossmunster, and St. Peter's cathedral. We sat in silent awe of the huge stained glass windows designed by Peter Chagall, then wandered through narrow winding streets and alleys. We came upon an open fresh market, teaming with fruit, vegetables and buckets ...
