... me as being a strong hold for the rich and famous - many yachts and restaurants and not much else, harbour-side. But up in the old town it seems the village has a nice "hum" about it. Our hotel is built inside the old citadel and there are many, many, steps down to the harbour, and many, many steps back up. it actually feels like twice as many with some vodka's and red wine your belt. We had lunch at the top of the Col (Col de Brevella) and then on our drive back down (passing cows, pigs and goats) we found our own private rock pools to swim & jump around in. The water was cool but Mitch & Grace didn't care one bit! One of our best days yet. ... and olives. I was getting the olives from the .ittle man at the deli counter and Jeff was getting a cheese from the fridge area. He just looked at Jeff and wa e his hand down with a NOH! and suggested he get his cheese, which we did.
Weather has beeb bellissimo, buena excellent.

For all except graham the mountain scenery was spectacullar. He said all he could see was the white line when we had one, in the middle of road.
Arrived at Corte - staying at different hotels. Thunder and lightening and heavy rain. Waited a while for it to subside then g&j dropped us off at our hotel.
