... and met by Fabio who was most helpful. We are back from the lake but up very high so have great views down to the lake and across to the snow capped mountains.
Began the morning by walking along the waterfront to Cernobbio (suburb)and checked out many a glamorous villa high on the hill overlooking the Lake. Called in to a local trattoria which clearly feeds all the local builders so they were far from interested in us being in ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

Most of the shops were closed there too so we didn't stay all that long before we headed back to warm ...

... shut up about schools. Lewis should be glad he wasn't there as he just loves listening to me talk about children he'll never meet! We we went for a walk into the tiny village of Menaggio and got a standard gelato. The town was very cute with it's cobbled stones and cute "ristorante" overlooking the lake. As it was quite late when we got there, we decided to hang out at the hostel, have dinner and a few drinks. The next morning we were woken up by ...

... luck in the small villages along the Fiume Adda. But after about 10 Km I saw a small garage that looked open so I stopped.
The guy didn't speak english but we managed with hand signals pointing and showing him that I wanted 10W40. I needed a new speedo cable as well, but he didn't have any for an old Japanese bike. Fair enough, I know roughly how fast I am going.
