... away, called for navette. Got checked in at hotel. Went to pool. Hot, but dark clouds in the sky.

Walked to commercial center to have dinner--only a couple places open. I had shrimp curry & Hunter had pho. We both drank iced green tea. We thought about seeing "Maleficent" at the movies, but it only plays at 11:15 am each day. Bummer.

So............our mates have returned to Blighty to resume normal life. Ferry back for us in a week or so, we are wending our way north - soaking up good things. France is full of good things.......a superb country - oft over-looked by English folk. It's different here away from the high mountains......but stunningly beautiful........and hilly if you ride a bike!

And my old family friend Aunty Barbara delivers 2nd to none hospitality!!

The weather was also great as it was cloudy and a bit cooler. In the afternoon when we drove to the airport, it started pouring down with a storm!

... barbecue of sorts. He took care of the meat etc, while we cooked a huge batch of roast potatoes and a salad. We all drank a bit before and during dinner, so by the end of the long conversation, as interestig as it was, we were all very tired. We had lemon tart and some French upside down cake for dessert, then went back to the chateau. We watched an episode of sex and the city and went to bed. I love you, ...
