... 16th century tapestries, paintings, china etc. In one place the kitchens still had medieval sink, stove, pump and oven with copper pots and pans and it was easy to imagine what life was like!

Had an easy day today just wandering and eating and drinking - very tempting iin France as there are cafes and bars everywhere ...

... is mind blowing large and stunning. The detail in the roof is incredible and you get a close up view due to the balcony that surrounds the upper floors. At the centre of the huge building is a double helix open staircase that gets you to each floor but never meets. This chateau also has 282 fire places, we have 1 at our place...
