      ... walk on, unbelievable! After the museum, we walked around the theatres. They were built in the first century A.D. So we are walking around stones that were put up around 2,000 years ago. I love it!
      After looking around there, we headed into old Lyon for some lunch. Then we walked over to the River Saone for a 1 hour boat ride up the river and back. Lots of old buildings ...

      ... and delightful moose. Good French food is spectacular. Simple but special. Tomorrow is a full day of 24 km.. Probably not too steep just gentle undulations... Should be good.. Btw. Weather so far has been perfect . Gentle cool breeze all the way. Sometimes threatening rain but so far never anything more than a drizzle.. Will let you know how tomorrow goes as it's probably our first quite long walk. Night night all... ...

      ... Helen cleverly in French..called her " the Saint of the road"... Only Helen would think of saying that....lapsed catholic and all. So after yet another baguette and ham with coffee we then marched steadily up hill only to descend down the longest down hill rock path for 7 km, we all decided it was the worst path we had ever encountered....we'll maybe.       ... course was Le Puy lentils with local sausage..extremely simple local dishes abounding with flavours ..we all thought it to be amazing..dessert was thick gateaux crepe..lovely. We have been promised the left over cake for breakfast... Helen was finally delivered her bag this morning and was able to catch a taxi and join us in Montbonnet and so tomorrow we will be four pilgrims walking a mere thirteen km into our next little town of ......I forget.       ... tasting and I think we'll be having a case show up at our doorstep at the end of the month. The owner gave us a history of the place, which he purchased 12 years ago when he was 55. He runs the place with his son and his wife. After the tasting, we had the best lunch that we have had since we've been here. Pictures will definitely be included at the end of this post.
