... spectacular! You will see from photos, but of course they never do it justice. We left at 8.30 and got here at about 3 pm which wasn't bad, with a stop at a bar (for Amr to have some wifi really) and a lunch stop....munching on French bread and cheese is divine when you have been walking hard uphill. We are staying at a little guesthouse, B and B type place, with a very cheerful woman who was chatting and ...

We are here!! Feeling of achievement...this town is perched on the side of a hill, that we climbed up from the other side, then down to!! But it wasn't a terribly difficult day, except for that last 2 kms, and we arrived here at about 2.45, having left Le Puy at 8.15, so it wasn't bad... Before we left we got a baguette and some cheese and apples, then set off well equipped. A lovely walk, through magnificent countryside, and made so good as ...

This one the Rocher Saint Michel d'Aiguilhe. This is a chapel dedicated to st Michel built in the 10th century, also ...

... and in Le Puy we have seen our first shell markers in the pavement. We are at a very pleasant hotel, and here for 2 nights. A rather mysterious hot water and shower system, but that just goes with the wonders of travel. Such a pretty town. Ventured into the centre for a light meal tonight. Found a place that had salads and looked good. And it was, but can you believe it - in the same room as us were a couple of Australian doctors - the sort ...

    Journey home part 1 :(

A travel blog entry by siandlorna on Aug 12, 2015

... make the time fly, we stopped off a services somewhere in south France and got our table out and had a very civilised lunch. The only problem with our Alan Rogers france book is that is 2012- we didn't think that 'modern facilities' could date so quickly but this site proved us wrong... 'Shack esq' facilities is more appropriate for the book but for €18 for the night we weren't complaining, Simon was ...
