After a send off by Rob and Annemeike and the others that popped their heads up as we left it dawned on me that we are on our way, no going back! the big one, excitement and trepidation!!  Destination Barbados 2014 miles.  The first 170 mile day done @ 8 knots and Craig s watch saw 30 spotted dolphins.The only thing spotted on my first watch was a container ship on collision course,and incidentally the last ship to be seen till last of 15 days!! ...

It's my birthday, some would say its that everyday but today it is for real, presents of new swimming shorts and a pair of very cool expensive shades from Sal topped with a champagne breakfast Hmmmm cheep sparking wine that exploded over Sal breakfast.. luckily not mine .. :)

2/2 Up early today and walked the mile to the sports bar to watch the rugby – what a good days entertainment!!! and great results. At sunset 2 square riggers were at anchor in the bay and one left just at sunset (see pic) we went to the Purple Turtle beach bar in the evening and chatted with two English couples we had met before.
3/2 I went for a walk in the morning up through the farms and plantations and into the forest. In the evening it was again ...
