... grotto. Nothing like a statute of the BVM with water coming out of the mountain to draw us Catholics out from every nook and cranny. The herd of goats that usually blocks Paul's entry into churches was nowhere to be found here.....so maybe it's a good sign. Don't send a Catholic jihad after me, now, just making light of a fun time!
About "the Christians getting nasty" part. This is apparently ...
... saying. We were at La Playa Franca and it was BEAUTIFUL!! I call it “where the mountains meet the sea”. I have never seen anything like that before, so it was very amazing to me. The mountains were literally going into the sea. We spent an hour taking pictures and exploring and just soaking in all of the beauty.
The rest is just said with pictures.....
... the mountains following the river Cares. Although it is only possible to see the river occasional due to it being too far below the path it is possible to hear it. The walk is about 24 kilometers there and back. Approx 16 miles. We have never been on such a spectacular walk. The path clings to the cliff face hundreds of meters above the gorge and burrows through solid rock. It is very difficult to describe adequately.
Tomorrow 2 10 09 we move on.
... We rolled into San Sebastian around 10 to find the office closed!! Fortunately, they had only stepped away for a break and after setting up we sat by the camper and enjoyed some rose and regular port.

Costa del Sol, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands pv_blog... There’s a lovely air-conditioned restaurant which does a buffet breakfast between 8 and 10 in the morning and evenings. And there is also a poolside snack bar which is open between 10 and 10. We used this quite a lot, it does a nice selection of well priced meals which can be adapted for the little ones. Fred loved the Spag Bol ...
Costa del Sol, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands pv_blog... fun. It took a couple of extra hours, but we went through quite a few towns which is what this trip is about - driving through towns. On the way we stopped for the second time to fill up on gas. Each time we filled about 3/4 of the tank which cost around 53 euros. A tank will take us about 700 miles. I don't know who, but someone will be interested in that. So the towns were fun to see and the gorge we drove through on the way to Potes was pretty spectacular ...
Potes, Cantabria, Spain and Canary Islands claesch... cheese was the strongest blue cheese I have ever had by far. It was extreme. Extreme yet, delicious, but after a while I thought all my tastebuds had been burnt off by the cheese. 2) Tortilla con Bacalao (Codfish omelette in essence) --- Sounds interesting, but even with a little blue cheese on it, it tasted delicious 3) Chorizo a la sidra (Sausage soaked in Cider) 4) Croquettas de jamón (fried dough filled with ham....a typical Spanish dish) 5) Bottomless glasses of Sidra 6 ...
