... in a Mclaren P1 sports car but rather in a 1952 Citroen. I got a great deal on the rental car though and I feel very French driving around in this vehicle wearing my suit and my recently purchased French summer chapeau. There are some drawbacks to driving the Citroen. The top speed is only 90 km/hour, there is no power steering or AC and the seats are a little firm. Lovely relaxed start to the day with brekky in our courtyard before heading out to another medieval town about half an hours drive away. Sometimes one lucks out with one's holiday accommodation and sometimes one does not. I think we have been very fortunate to have been able to stay at Le Petits Manoir. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay for anyone visiting the Dordogne. The owners are Karen and Peter. Karen is from Houston Texas. She did an arts degree at University.
