So for once, lunch went fairly quickly then out to the cathedral. It is massive but honestly, I missed most of the chatter on the outside of the cathedral. This was when our guide gave us the history and I missed it because the group arrived a good 5 minutes before I did. When I came around the corner, they were just about ready to head inside.

Castres Town still in Languedoc. Aire by park 1KM from town centre. Plenty of shared parking space but noisy at night. No services at all. Our afternoon visit was taken up with a visit to another chateau, this time Bruniquel, perched above the River Aveyron on top of a sheer 100m cliff. Was impressive but not as impressive as the one at Najac as they were doing it up gradually and unfortunately putting in glass and many places you could not go into. Was apparently the set of a French film a while ago ...

... in a tin. Was fun walking around taking in the atmosphere and the weather was so warm. Around 12 we went for a walk to the river edge of the town through the historic centre where there were some 14th century houses.

Back to the Watermill for lunch outside eating bread, cheese, terrine etc. doesn't get much better than this. Relaxed on the deckchairs for a while before trying one of the many walking tracks ...
