... gardens. Feeling very tired today so I was very glad to get back on the bus & head back to the ship for lunch at 1pm. Leisurely lunch,cuppa & back to room for rest for me, all the others went for a walk around the town of Tournus. Burgundy presentation at 5pm, set sail for Macon at 6pm, daily Port talk with the cruise director at 6.45pm & special dinner for Col's birthday at the Restaurant L'Amore at 7.15pm. They ...

... experience this turned out to be, we headed into the Information centre to find somewhere to stay, the 1st place was booked so she rang another that was just out of town and WOW, this couple were wonderful, their friend turned up and he was a wine maker and they insisted we try his wine with them – one thing lead to another and we were then having a visit to his wine cave ...

... we went to his Cave and were tasting a 1986 wine which was incredible!!!! Much discussion about his wines and what years were the best which George was able to quote off the top of his head! he then showed us the area where he makes his wine followed by our purchase of 6 bottles.
2011 for 5 Euro 2009 for 6 euro and 1993 for 10 euro amazing prices. Said our farewells after discussing the return to pick next year LOL.
