We just finished the tour du Mont Blanc - 180km, 3 countries, 9 days! Also some sore feet by the end...
actually it was probably some of the nicest hiking we have ever done - stayed in some lovely hotels and mountain refuges, ate amazing food each day, good wine each night!
Think Andy was a bit de estates to be in Chamonix in summer rather than winter, but ...

... European breakfast of cereal, meats, cheeses and bread, I got everything ready and departed by 9:30am. Connie planned to leave an hour or two later and meet me at the top. We had a little detour planned through the town of Stein am Rhein, which is a quaint little place in Switzerland with amazingly painted buildings in the center of town. We spent a couple of hours wandering around snapping pics and finished up with a nice coffee and flamme kuchen (plum cake) then got back on the road.
