Upon arrival back at the Venice airport we just had to make a reasonably long track to car park number 5 in order to collect Travis. Parking at the airport turned out to be a pretty good call in that the total charge for 3 and a bit days parking only cost €27. This is the last of ...

... icy waters and plant my buttocks onto the white stone beach. Triglav Nestled amongst the summer flowers and bumble bees with their cosy fur coats, I lay on a bed of greenery. Sounds of water in the distant, birds creating a mountain song and countless Motorcyclists racing as if in the Grand Prix. A few sun rays sneak through the clouds to give me a taste of warmth as I gaze on the wondrous wall of mountain in front of me - the Vrsic pass! ...

... as a gateway between Eastern and Western Europe and has suffered political strife and hardship as a result. Although the people of Friuli are fairly introverted, they are proud of the produce from their land - we have discovered that the prosciutto is second to none and the wine is pretty good too (at 4 Euros a bottle). Today, we discovered the main towns in the area. Udine, the largest town, has a tumultuous history. Its castle ...
