This morning the Navman wasn't working.
It was saying 'no maps can be detected'. We didn't use our kind words with it when it took us to Florence the other night, and now it seemed to be sulking and on strike.
We had to resort to reading signs on the road (not our drivers preferred navigation method) and we were considering getting the road atlas out that Roy & Jo lent us.
Clint stopped to refuel so Dan & I were trying to read the manual and we were ...
... we were at anchor during the day, we didn't get to explore. I saw Andy briefly on his tender, which was a cool surprise! We still got the chance to get off the boat at night, as the guests would always go partying after dinner. Joe, the chef and I became really close in this time.. We were each other's only support.

1 shallot or small white onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
125ml of dry white wine (Muscadet is ideal)
Pinch of chopped fresh ...
... in search of an outdoor market they heard about. After a 20 minute uphill walk in search of bocce, I found nothing. My idea of bocce is the 4 wheel drive kind you find up at The Kern or in Carpinteria, or the Malibu beach kind (where you break the plate glass facing of the deck of a famous rocker who eats the heads off bats kind). So much for bocce mecca.
