... streets and narrow lanes were a welcome departure from the hustle and bustle of Nice. A quick scoot round, and we headed off to our next stop, Grasse. Grasse was not what we expected or led to believe. Maybe it was the journey or maybe it was just compared to Vence, but Grasse was not a slight on what we hoped for. Woke up naturally and opened the curtains to sunny St Tropez! Didn't bother with breakfast again today so once we were ready we headed down to deck 3 to catch a tender to shore.

... br> Inside a tower, near the Chateau, Henry and Marie clews are buried. The two tombs are half open as if their spirits moved the stones to find each other. This was their own design, depicting the love and complicity of themselves as a united couple forever more.

Further west, at Port Grimaud we found to be loads nicer than St Tropez, which to us was ho hum and very commercial. Lots more super yachts though. Bill’s warming to the idea of a cruiser ...

... a busy harbour with all the yachts jossling to get through harbor entrance out to the Mediterranean to start the race. It was very exciting and fun to watch. The harbour around the town is in a U shape it was absolutely packed with these racing yachts and their expensive tender boats. Also the cars - were amazing we saw 5 Ferrari’s in a matter of a few minutes.

    There was so much ...
