... which is moving in itself, and in the usual way there is a hole in the wall containing a detailed of list of all those buried there and a visitor's book. These are always very moving as you read of people visiting the graves of their relatives.Some of the graves had clay poppies on them, made and painted by children and inscribed on the reverse.

And then we went across the road to Chocolaterie Sukerbuyc (no idea how to pronounce that), and Monsieur himself gave us a demonstration in his kitchen of how to make chocolate. ... It reminded me of smaller versions of Salzburg and parts of Prague, with its richness in culture, old buildings, and churches. The main square was like almost all other main squares I've been to in Europe, filled with artists and "live statues" strategically placed waiting for tourists to surrender their money.

I have to admit that they were right - Brugge is a must visit if you're in these ...
