The museums, the bordom, the welcome farewell

Hey!

I went to a big archeological site north of Mexico City called Teotihuacan, to help tear down the rest of the ruins by walking on them. We were not many tourists there, because it´s low season right now I guess. It´s not often you wish you were surrounded by more tourists but when hawker outnumber it´s preys (tourists) 3:1 you get the eyes of every single hawker on you. To Mexican hawkers credit they usually walk away after just one "no". <br ...

Swimming with Dolphins

That is a place i will remember. We looked for swimming with dolphins and got a massive discount to do so. We entered a water theme park that offers it, and had an hour in the pool with them: absolutely magic. Dolphins evolved at the same time as us on the geological scale, and it fascinating what they were able to do. They are so so smart and ...

Living it up in Acapulco

... This turned out to be such a treat as it was our first encounter with air conditioning and a TV with 100 channels. All for only $50 per night (low season)! Oh and it also has a pool. So the first day in Acapulco was a bit of a write off as we were so tired. But we did manage to find the beach and explore the main street of restaurants, night clubs, shopping malls and the like. Then we retreated to our cool ...

el charro and eduardo

... Let´s have another. So of course twenty-seven mezcals and ten Coronas later we´re hanging out with this local charro (Mexican cowboy), whooo he was a character. His name was Abraham. Apparently he used to live next door to the bar, and if the music got too loud he would come down, cowboy hat on, and fire his pistol into the air! And one time he was there with his woman, and some fool or possibly a drugstore cowboy says something brazen about the woman. Well, do ...

Greetings from Acapulco!

... you can hear them speaking in their native language and you wonder how well they can sing. And then suddenly, they're singing in perfect English. It's the same phenomenon that allows Brits to sing in perfect American English. Finally, we went to the evening show... Mexican Folkloric. A local mariachi band and dancers performed for about an hour. It was quite good. I finally hit bed around midnight and we left port around 2 AM. It was an amazing day.
