Not much to report today. I spent my last day in the Italian sun swimming and relaxing. La dolce vita! I think we are all ready to go home. We did a lot these past two weeks so I feel like I've been away for a very long time! I love that feeling when I travel; it's a true escape from ordinary life and I always come home with a sense of appreciation. ... and shells in it? Not sure what they were trying to do, but it was pretty funny! We had dinner out on this large terrace and there was the perfect breeze! Joe and I argued over the pronunciation of the Australian city of Melbourne (I'm right!) and we had more gelato. Finally going to bed early tonight; all these late nights plus the sun are catching up to ...

... Capri. It's a similar experience to catching the ferry to Straddie, but the ferry is a fairly serious ship of maybe 10,000 tons...probably carries 40-50 cars and maybe 800 passengers over 3 decks.
The Med always seems to be covered with a quite dense sort of haze, which I suspect might be polution so it spoils the approach/departure a bit for the photographers amongst us....
Capri is pretty spectacular and special...certainly the home of the rich and famous, although ...
