    ... what I’ve seen of it. The people are lovely, the sights inspiring and the sea so very beautiful. The beaches of the Costa del Sol are awe inspiring, the water warm but still refreshing and the waves not as treacherous as those off the California coast. We shall return…..sooner than later one hopes.

    John, or host at the Arriadh recommended El Muelle for dinner. This restaurant is situated in the town of Arriate - a refurbished commercial warehouse that sits beside the railway station, and at one time was used by the railroad. Frank, our host at El Muelle, was extremely helpful in explaining the dishes (he was from Holland also).     ... thought they were illegal now…..maybe I got it wrong, or maybe they’re converting these arenas for other usage? Who knows….not me… I’ll have to google it later.

    While walking we came upon a gelato store: Amorino. This is a Milanese brand which is coming to Marin and San Francisco….I know this because Christopher is their Architect!! SO….word to the wise GET THERE ...

    ... the works interesting. He once said "If I don't have red, I use blue". Picasso's work today was quite child-like in some ways. He would do this painting, finished or unfinished then do a great big date in the corner that literally looked like a kid wrote it. Very playful in some ways.

    ... and the ocean. We stayed here mainly as it was on route to our next planned destination Gibraltar which was only planned as a day trip stop, before heading to Seville. If I had of thought earlier about the golf resort we could have stayed an extra day and had a round of golf, but I must have been asleep when Leoni told me about this place.
