Beach bum life! Today we spent the entire day on the beach. We rented lounge chairs and umbrellas and relaxed. It was a refreshing day. Jayden, the youngest of the group, went crazy between the beach and pool. It was hard to pull him away to get ready for dinner. It was also Michelle's birthday! The family went out to dinner and ice cream to celebrate. After a few of us went out for birthday drinks. We kept it relatively chill since we have an early morning for a day trip to ...

... Blancos con Lomo de Ternera a la Parilla" - White Asparagus with Grilled Galician Veal Loin. We were assured this would be the right amount for both of us but it was way too much food. BUT oh so good! On the "asparagus" menu were other great combos like white and green asparagus risotto, white and green asparagus in vinaigrette with poached salmon (almost went for that). There were two dishes using the asparagus with new baby potatoes, one boiled and ...

... driving on rough and winding roads, but very beautiful.

Finally we came out onto a kind of gentle valley and this delightful town of Rondo. Rondo is most famed for its marvelous 18th C bridge over a chasm (see pix), but it also has some lovely old Moorish walls and mosques, as well as quite an arsenal of 18th C houses, churches and inns.

We discovered a parking lot right in town that will take campers overnight… much better than the ...
