      Monday 18 August

      A cool day with on and off drizzle. Time to move on from the Meuse and
      head towards the Vosges and the National Parks of Alsace Lorraine, north of
      Mulhouse. Thought about stopping in a campsite in the Lorraine National Park

      ... Richie Porte who recently took the reigns of Team Sky. But before the main event we were eagerly awaiting the merchandise cars that come past, literally throwing stuff at us we were able to score loads of freebies. After this the big team buses and all the small official cars came through. All very exciting! The riders finally came through and the level of excitement definitely turned up a notch.
