... bougainvillia spilling over a wall into an empty lot when I inadvertently wandered into an area I probably shouldn't have been in. At that point I turned around and retraced my steps lest I become lost.

We left Los Angeles in the morning, at about 10:00 am - we were waiting until rush hour had passed so we could make it through the city at a reasonable rate. It turns out that rush hour never really ends here.

We were met at the airport by my cousin Melanie, my mother's sister's daughter. I had not seen her for many years, so it was wonderful to see her.

We went out for lunch and then stopped at Trader Joe's so that I could buy soy milk for my tea.

Tomorrow we head out to Paso Robles for a family wedding. I'm looking fowared to the trip north: I hear the scenery is wonderful.

... I-10 but stay in the exit lane for 3kms, not get right back on the I-10, now off it again ..... Hey, you haven't really been to LA if you haven't been in Freeway gridlock. By the time we got back to the hotel we never wanted to see the inside of a car again, so we had a night in, got a head start of the packing organisation. Loose plans for tomorrow, they may change.... but definitely dinner plans with friends! Tomorrow is our last full ...

And I said we are off to see the Raw Oyster Cult play in one of the roughest suburbs in LA. We jumped into the private cab with these three ladies, and we were off. They were so nice. Jock was sitting in the back and I was in the front seat and the bourbons were doing the talking. One of the ladies, Kim, says, WOW ...
