... town and saw a giant pencil that is really a clocktower. We went to the beach and had lots and lots and lots of fun. We made sandcastles that we had to stand on and when the sea came around us they kept breaking. I stood on one and it broke and I nearly fell in the sea so I jumped off. ... leasing a car through Renault Eurodrive which is a very economical way of doing a long term rental. The car we have is a Renault Kangoo - not the most stylish looking wagon, but very practical and has plenty of room for a family of 5. ... rest time and then we decided to go out before diner. We went down to the ocean and saw the wall that used to protect the city. We walked to the Christmas market which surprisingly had a few stores open.
When we got home we had diner, the idea is that you stuff yourself at Christmas lunch and just eat leftovers for diner.

... the veggie patch which was horrible as there was just so many and wasn't very easy to get them out but we got it done, mostly. I have been drinking so much wine every night I think I have become immune! Playing cards and drinking bottles of wine but I don't feel as dunk any more.
