... tour of where they make the wine, then the cellars, then the wine tasting and finally the wine buying! Dinner out in Saumur in the evening (still raining). Found that my expensive waterproof shoes leak, so they'll be going back when I get home! Lovely meal tonight, far better than last ...

Travelling day today. Had breakfast at the hotel, packed up and left at 11:30. Drive took longer than google maps estimated and we arrived at Les Terrasses de Saumur at 5:30. Very disappointing meal for a three pot Logis. Hence we won't eat here ...

With a couple of hours to fill in before the train (actually 2.5 hours, if Tracy and I had correctly read the train timetable!), we wandered into the small town, looking for somewhere for coffee. The boys went off to see if they could find the winery they had seen directions ...

Thankfully, we woke to a better day. It was fresh but the sun was breaking through and it was time to visit the market and Alain for the wine at Domaine de la Paleine! We were able to taste several more wines which he did not bring on the boat. Namely Rosés and a sparkling red. We then placed our orders and paid up. Luckily, Alain was prepared to deliver all of our orders to the campsite ...
