That is what I feel like this year. Every start is up up and up again and within 10 mins we are back to being the 3 drips is so hot and humid! Today's start was a bit different. After ringing around yesterday Gilles spoke to the lovely guy who handles the Italian side of the walks and I think he felt a bit sorry for us and have a feeling his friend Paolo, from where we stayed at Rocca, told him of our concerns. We were picked up the day before at the square in Santa Maria for the 30 mins drive into the mountains, much cooler thank goodness. Staying at L'Antico Convent, B&B in Rocco Cilento. Breakfast again was right down my alley....2 ...

Our new accommodation is a gorgeous private villa built in 1600 with a view over green fields and rocky hills to the sea - Palazzo d'Aulisio in Guingano. It has been in the same family all that time and our hostess is Camilla the current family member in residence. After a tour of the villa, I had a sleep before dinner at 8. Antipasto, pasta, meat and ...

We picked up our hire car from Termini and headed south to the area of Balisticata to meet up with Ornella's (Meg's friend from Alliance Francais) Father, Carmine, we were on schedule and met him at 2.20pm and immediately felt like friends. Laurie drove with Carmine and we followed him to a beautiful steep town built into the hillside, we were soon to find ...
