    ... it was mined a year. Now the area has been returned to a natural state and is listed as a conservation area. There is a 50 minute walking trail through the site. It reminds me very much of the red hills in Southern Utah near Zion but much smaller. It’s full of families. We think it must be fall break based on the number of kids who are not in school! The walk is lovely and we enjoy being in nature.

    ... natural park so the walk from the car park is green with plants identified by placards and lots of birds singing in the trees. The walk up to the castle is worth it just to see the views and all the ruined 16th century homes and buildings with trees growing up through them. It feels a lot like the Mayan ruins in Mexico.     Decided we would go to St Remy for the market today. Unfortunately sleeping too well and did not wake till 9.30 am......yeah can hear some of you say set alarm but hey we are on holiday.     Had a quiet start to the day, in fact it is very quiet here full stop. At night it is deadly quiet, only traffic would be residents and there aren't many of those and probably because of the stone walls noise is minimised as well.
