    Hi lovely people,
As you all know we started hitchhiking on monday. We started in Antwerp and are know in the south of France, it took us three days to get here in Nyons. The people we met in the past days were incredible and very helpfull, all except the people in Paris. They were rude, not helpfull at all and hitchhiking out of Paris was like the Blair witch project movie all over ...

Had a quiet start to the day, in fact it is very quiet here full stop. At night it is deadly quiet, only traffic would be residents and there aren't many of those and probably because of the stone walls noise is minimised as well. We were feeling a bit weary from travelling yesterday and stress of driving so were going to have a quiet day....but then hard to actually ...

... Came to car and set gps and also rang the lady for us, she has very limited English. We had directions from the guy in NZ who organises the rental of these properties but as had GPS went with that. Ummmmmm went round in circles at some points. Car is a station wagon left hand drive. Simon has to keep reminding himself to drive on the right. I find as he sits close to the centre line he veers to the far right and I have to keep saying move in as I feel ...

    Sur Le Pont d'Avignon

A travel blog entry by jknec on Sep 18, 2013

One of my favourite places I visited in France, Avignon is such a beautiful old city. We stayed at an Air B'n'B rental within the ancient town centre, and were lucky enough to have access to a rooftop patio that looked out over the city toward the Palais de Papes. Had a lovely time strolling along the medieval ramparts, and the gorgeous wall of greenery in the city centre. Nothing bad to say about my visit to Avignon!
