... Papes, though only by the skin of our teeth! The next uncouth people to arrive without a rezervazion were sent on their way ... somehow we must have looked acceptable. The wine was so drinkable, that the bottle was finished before dessert almost without our noticing. The last stop after scrambling up scores of steps to see the top ...

At night it is deadly quiet, only traffic would be residents and there aren't many of those and probably because of the stone walls noise is minimised as well. Do hear an occasional plane in the distance. You could get used to life in a wee place like this. We were feeling a bit weary from travelling yesterday and stress of driving so were going to have a quiet day....but then hard to actually ...

    Chez Aline, Impasse de l'Horloge

... Came to car and set gps and also rang the lady for us, she has very limited English. We had directions from the guy in NZ who organises the rental of these properties but as had GPS went with that. Ummmmmm went round in circles at some points. Car is a station wagon left hand drive. Simon has to keep reminding himself to drive on the right. I find as he sits close to the centre line he veers to the far right and I have to keep saying move in as I feel ...
