... and got some fresh hot waffles, shaped like the Cathedral with melted chocolate on, and some delicious Stollen. It was a one hour drive to Vaals / Holland. A cute little town. We had dinner at Mo'ment, an interesting little resturant. Duck was the speciality. Matt had huge ribs and H a vegetarian lasagna. Thee caves were actually quarry caves where the limestone was removed by farmers and used in local buildings and also the Church domes. This tour was also by gas light and our guide left us in the darkness for a few moments just to experience true darkness. Although we only walked for 1 hour in the cave system it's ...

... away (which, of course, we had to visit) also offered moules. Turns out this airfield (Kiewit) opened in 1907 and initiated the first aerial activity in Belgium. More importantly now, it provided the best coffee (and certainly beer) of any airfield cafe I have visited. The coffee included biscuits and a mini-mars bar! Two miles later we found our campsite at the far end of a road/track that is obviously a nature reserve with folk enjoying the countryside by ...
