... the bodies. We climbed on our bikes and rode 10km up the beach and found a big ship that was now earth bound and zebra's and elephants and white horses. I kid you not. Check out my photos!!!! Now I think the whole of France is at the beach and half of Spain. Its all so different to what we are used to but thats why we are here! Tomorrow we shall go to Carcassonne or maybe the next day. ... cyclists were prohibited. Anyway we made it , and tomorrow we continue down the coast of the Med to Girona. Should be very pretty. Forgot to mention that Mesfin went astray today, with no cell phone or maps. He did have my home phone number and called Chris, who gave him the cords of our hotel. He was in the tourism office in. I doubted he was a stray from Valmanya, which was really too far back plus it was barely a town anyway. I offered him some water but he wasn't interested. A few minutes later Caroline came by in the van; we had a plan to meet on the route for lunch. She ...

DAY 10/June 23: The queen stage

... Steve & Gilles. We found out that even though today is June 23rd, there would be St-Jean-Baptiste celebrations in the square in the centre of town next to the huge old church, so that's were we went for dinner with Don and Mark. I had my first pizza in several days and Caroline had a very impressive hamburger(!), and we enjoyed listening to the music, watching the dancers, the procession (with horses) of the flame, and the bonfire before heading back to the hotel for the ...
