    500 miles drive back to Calais today......
    Left the site at Issoire at 7 and left the motorway north of Orleans at 10:30. Bit more traffic and the detour around Rouen but we got to the site at Calais after a lunch stop and a coffee break for 4:00. Little tent up in 20 mins, quick beer then off to the new pool for a dip then curry for tea. ...

    ... Neil and I then decided to go down "memory lane". We walked down to the Casino end of town and marvelled at a huge complex of flats which had been erected since we came here last year.

    ... to go to get to Le Touquet, but because we had stayed off the motorway, we went through some lovely villages. As a result of turning off to a Patisserie, which was in fact shut, we ended up finding a Lidl and diving in for provisions which we ate in their car park, in our vans of course!

    ... she collected our card the lady went on in French a bit I just kept nodding confidently I understood and I knew what I wanted. Soon the food started coming and coming. We eat quite a bit, they cleared away the plates and we sat there all alone. Then they came over with two huge plates, one had 36 pieces of Maki, yes I order one of each of the Maki, there were 6 types and 6 pieces in each, there was a lot, each was the size of a small cotton reels, not like the size of normal M&S ...
