Woke up at the crack of dawn after a good nights sleep today and had a good walk round to see the nearby sites. Even though it was early the fish market was in full swing and what a site to behold, fresh fish galore straight off the boat onto the quayside, 2 litres of Mussels Si Vous Plait ! - my kind of grocery shopping. We ventured into town for fresh bread and the best garlic we have had in years to make Moules Marinere later ...

Wednesday 8th July



On Monday night, we stayed in a
campsite in the grounds of an old chateau that we have stayed in before near
the village of Aische-en-Refail. The plan was we would arrive early and cycle
down an old railway line into the city of Namur. We did this last time we were
there but didn't have time to ...

... there. It is a large aire near playing fields and just beside the big town walls. We found a nice sheltered spot by a bank and after the usual ' nice cup of tea' we went for a stroll around the town and its walls in the warm afternoon sun.

... the ‘Orange’ I found at the bottom of my stocking which immediately took me back to my childhood. Even to the point of drawing a comical face on it and leaving it to fester with no probability that I’ll ever feel the need to eat it. I wonder if I leave it long enough it will ferment in to Cointreau!!?
