I woke about 5am this morning - it's travelling day. I don't think I have had to use the alarm on the phone yet. My early mornings drive Tor crazy, but there you go. Apart from that we have been good travelling companions which has been really lovely. She is getting a real kick out of it all and it's been great for me to see some of the places I've seen before through her eyes. The sea birds were going mad about 5, so I'm not sure what that is about. Hopefully not rain as ...

It's a bit older, but it still looked nice. ...

... that. We all met back at the apartment for lunch then all the girls went off for a bit of a shopping spree. The boys just stayed back at the apartment till 5:30 when we were meeting the girls at a restaurant. The restaurant was really nice and the food was delicious. Our walk home we got lost and ended up on the other side of Venice. We made it home at 10 to 10 and almost instantly fell asleep. ...

I moved on to Palazzo Ducale. Somehow I managed to miss it when I was in San Marco's piazza the other day. I don't know how because its right next to the Piazza. The palazzo was home to the Doges of Venice. It was built in the 1400's. In true Italian style it was grandiose. As I walked into the palazzo I entered a huge courtyard with two wells. The guide from the night tour had explained that only the very wealthy could afford enough room to have one well, this place had ...
