Nice character hotel just outside of the main square. Excellent service and the restaurant is to die for.

Arrived on site at just gone 3pm, had a good trip, roads were very quiet and it was sunny the majority of the way. Unfortunately it starting raining as we were setting up, although it only lasted about ten minutes. The site is quite good although we have not had a good look around, we are on a large pitch right next to the free wi fi antenna . Have had a walk to the local bakery and ...

We return to the banks of the Loire River to the town of Rochecorbon to walk at the Troglodyte Hotel and take a short boat trip on the Loire. It is the longest "wild" river (i.e., no dams) in France. It is a tranquil and relaxing trip, but the winds ...

A quick run into town for purchases of scarves and chocolate, plus a needed shot of caffeine. This evening we celebrate the birthday of one of our tour members. Not likely that Tom will ever forget this celebration in this special place!

We started out the day with a drive to Amboise where our hosts had told us they have a large outdoor market on Sundays. We found the location with ease and the only challenge seemed to lie ahead of us....parking. To our delight a car pulled out of a prime location just as our search began.

After wandering about through the the town a bit we headed towards the banks of the river Cher where rows of tents were set up housing all ...
