    ... then carried on along the beach and saw all the designer shops before heading to where the Cannes Film Festival takes place. There was a yachting festival on at the time (hence all the boats in the bay) so we couldn't actually visit the marina.

    ... to the fridge and all of out stuff.

    Some highlights of the trip so far:

    Red Bull Cliff Diving in La Rochelle was absolutely mental. 27 metres is really high, and these dudes do twisting summersaults into the water! We also both really liked La Rochelle and would like to re-visit one day and spend some more time there.

    The sand dune at Pyla on the Atlantic Coast was absolutely enormous, and totally took me by surprise. I had refused ...

    ... with a large internal garden surrounded by the cloisters. Simple but wonderful to stroll around in away from the town noises even though it's in the heart of the town. Walked to Entrecasteaux (very long walk through vineyards and over hills) for a beer. Another minor disaster, the water was cut off to all the houses in the area so had use buckets for the toilet etc. back on next morning. Wednesday - roamed a bit further today. Weather still ...
