... a sheltered corner and jumped right in - no need to worry about sharks, stingers, etc!!! The water was a beautiful temperature and very clear. There is an awesome beachside path along the coast here so went exploring for about a kilometre, through forest and along low cliffs overlooking lovely bays and rock pools with various boats moored along the way....again a relief not to need to worry about poisonous spiders ...

Some highlights of the trip so far:

Red Bull Cliff Diving in La Rochelle was absolutely mental. 27 metres is really high, and these dudes do twisting summersaults into the water! We also both really liked La Rochelle and would like to re-visit one day and spend some more time there.

The sand dune at Pyla on the Atlantic Coast was absolutely enormous, and totally took me by surprise. I had refused ...
